Our Governance Structure ensures there are clear reporting lines and explicit requirements to ensure probity, good governance and outstanding performance.
Trustees focus on the core functions of governance:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- Overseeing and ensuring effective financial performance
- Determining the governance of the Trust through the Trust Governance Committee (TGC)
Trust Governance Committee (TGC) are responsible for:
- Determining the governance of the Trust
- Holding executive leaders to account for:
- Trustees meet as a Board of Trustees and also as:
- The TGC reports to the Trustees
- ○ the educational performance of Flowhesion schools and their pupils
- ○ the performance management of staff
- ○ an Academic Board
- ○ Policy & Resources Committee
- ○ Nomination & Remuneration Committee
- ○ Character Education Board
- ○ Audit Committee
Local Governing Board (LGB) serve as a key link between:
- The schools, parents/carers and the local community
- They monitor the performance of the school
- Advising the TGC of any concerns.
- The Local Governing board reports to the TGC Chair
All Members, Trustees and Governors complete an annual declaration of Business Interests and declare any financial interests within meetings.
Our Scheme of Delegation identifies:
- The key decision-making roles for establishments within Flowhesion Academies
- Determines the functions undertaken by the Board of Trustees and those that have been delegated to:
